Words and music by Joe Perreze
lyrics
quiet it comes and quiet it goes
quietly screaming such trivial words
can anyone hear me now?
is anyone here?
is anyone here?
it's too sad to hope so let's leave that behind
while others wish, let's vow to better spend our time
we have a place in this so let's understand
place all your thoughts away from where i am

One of my regrets in Life is that I didn't drive up that snowy pass to load these fine humans in my truck when they had their tour mishap in Colorado a few years back. Concerts @539
This album speaks to the continuum of African diasporic culture that is central to the vibrant canon of Americana folk music. Bandcamp Album of the Day May 29, 2020
It would be a mistake to only listen to this during the holidays. I think that this album is a wonderful Brown Bird album on its own and shouldn't be brushed aside just because it's a Christmas album. I don't even like Christmas music, but this is fantastic. Keej
